Before rushing toward the exit, Dante thought of someone—the little nurse. The white nurse couldn't be left behind; the aliens would kill her.

"Professor, aren't you taking all your lab staff with you?" Dante reminded him, feigning a polite tone.

The Professor snapped out of his daze. "Ah, little brother Dante, thank you for the reminder. Look at my memory; I almost forgot Elena and the others."

Elena was woken up by a colleague during her nap. Hearing she was going home, she managed to get out of bed in just three seconds. She haphazardly stuffed a few thick clothes into a bundle—toothbrush, aluminum lunch box, soap, toothpaste... everything was shoved in with the clothes. Bring more dry rations and biscuits.

Just like that, ten seconds were used up. Charge!

Last year, she had been studying at a medical school in her English hometown when she was mysteriously abducted by aliens and brought here. For an entire year, she hadn't seen the sun or the stars, let alone her long-missed parents and siblings. She thought she’d be buried underground forever, and now they were saying she could go home?

As Elena rushed out of her room, she spent an extra three seconds putting on long-distance running shoes and one more second grabbing three pairs of thick socks.

When she and her sisters reached the assembly point, they saw the special forces, the Professor, and the Aeolus Suicide Squad who had been captured a few days ago. And... a strange young man?

Humans are uniting regardless of origin to fight their way out of the alien base; the sister who woke me up really didn't lie.

Breathless as she joined the crowd, Elena finally began to tidy her hair after the initial surge of joy. One of her two hairbands was missing? She didn't care; she just tied it all together. What did a messy look matter? As long as she could go home, being pretty was no longer important.

Staring at the group of girls running over, Dante quickly recognized Elena because she shouted: "Professor!"

The Professor simply nodded. Once everyone was gathered, he began to explain the guard situation at the gate. There were 48 alien guards in total, divided into three shifts: one resting, one training, and one on duty. The guard army was the most powerful armed force in this underground lab.

The Professor believed the safest way was to sneak out using invisibility. He asked Dante with a smile: "Little brother Dante, can you make everyone invisible?"

Dante was a bit annoyed. If he made all forty people invisible according to the Professor's plan, wouldn't he be back to leaning against walls for support? Although eating amethysts could restore him, crystals weren't infinite.

Dante glanced at the white ball.

The white ball sat with its hands crossed under its chin, looking disgusted. "Too many people, don't do it. Isn't it better to save the crystals for ourselves? These people have no idea what price you have to pay to turn them invisible."

"Cough!"

Dante’s flickering gaze finally settled on the Professor. "Escaping invisibly... what if these three shifts hunt us down together in the middle of the night? Heh heh, I’m not afraid, but..."

Xu Feng, who was determined to stick close to Dante, immediately chimed in: "Brother Dante makes a good point. The enemy is divided into three shifts; this is a perfect opportunity to take them out separately. If they hunt us all at once at night, combined with the Witch, we might be wiped out."

Zhang Manman echoed Xu Feng: "Exactly. Not killing them means leaving a hidden threat!"

The other Aeolus members nodded. They came here to kill aliens; seeing aliens and not killing them? That wasn't their style.

With the female soldiers taking such a stance, the twenty-plus camouflage-clad men of the special forces felt a bit embarrassed. However, they had originally been led by the Alien Governor and had no captain of their own; they just looked at each other.

The most awkward person was the Professor, whose authority had greatly diminished. He scanned the room and quickly realized that while the Aeolus Squad listened to Xu Feng, Xu Feng listened to Dante. The key figure was actually Dante.

"Little brother Dante, then you take charge."

Dante grumbled internally: I’m still just a baby dragon. But thinking that the Professor had created him—and according to the common sense the nurse taught him—the Professor was roughly half a father. He endured it!

Stepping into the center of the crowd, Dante feigned a fierce snarl: "Let Xu Feng be the temporary captain. Kill our way out first. Whoever doesn't listen, I’ll eat them—just like this stone man."

As Dante spoke, he extended his right hand, and the head of Giant Rock suddenly appeared in it. His snarl was already terrifying, but now he had conjured a head out of thin air—and the head’s eyes and mouth were still moving.

The crowd turned pale with fright, instinctively backing away four or five steps. No one knew how Dante carried such a massive head on his person without it showing; he didn't have a large bag on him. Truly eerie!

Since Dante had supernatural powers, his threat of eating people certainly didn't seem like a lie. The special forces began to move toward Xu Feng. Having gained power, Xu Feng was sensible and bowed to Dante. "Brother Dante, I’ll arrange the attack tactics, but I’ll follow your lead."

Dante was satisfied and nodded.

Xu Feng’s combat plan was detailed: First, lure the guards in and kill them one by one. Second, have a few people turn invisible to seize the alien weapons in the barracks and kill the twelve aliens inside. Third, kill the twelve training alien soldiers while invisible.

The first step was very successful. The white nurse simply pretended to have a sprained ankle, luring three aliens inside who were immediately pinned against the wall and killed by the Aeolus Squad. Four more came looking for them and were likewise killed by the special forces. The final five were finished off after the Professor led the special forces over to "chat" with them.

All Dante had to do was follow the soldiers and scavenge valuables. Dead people had so much stuff—necklaces, rings, alien cash.

Mine, mine, mine... "Don't touch any of it; it's all mine."

Seeing a grown man acting like a food-guarding little beast, constantly stooping over the corpses to dig and rummage, the special forces members could only shake their heads with bitter smiles.

Dante ignored their stares. He took everything the nurse had called valuable, everything the AI screen reminded him was valuable, and everything the white ball whispered was valuable. The white ball was right: he would definitely need it once they were out!

During the barracks plan, Dante didn't miss out on any storable food either. Biscuits, canned goods, rice, flour—these were things the aliens used to reward slaves, labeled in both Chinese and English as "Dog Food."

While the special forces were enraged by the term, Dante remained unfazed. The virtual screen from the white ball made it clear: Earth was suffering from a famine, and food outside was worth more than gold or silver. If it’s valuable, take it, heh heh!

Finally, they were able to leave the alien underground base. Together, they pushed open a stone door half a meter thick. What first entered their sight was a vast training ground shrouded in dark red light, and layers of earthy-brown clouds in the sky.

The clouds were surging rapidly. Within ten seconds, a dark red sun peeked through the gaps. The sun had blurred edges and dim light; it could be looked at directly with the naked eye. The air directly hit by the sunlight was visibly suspended with murky dust, which seemed to contain acidic substances, making people's eyes sting and their brows furrow.

Due to the lack of normal light, the plants on the hillside where they stood had almost completely withered. The Professor’s despondent voice drifted over: "The Big Bang was much worse than I imagined. We only experienced a major earthquake in the underground lab, but the people outside experienced death. Sigh!"

Someone began to cry: "Then my parents..."

"Shut up, now is not the time to cry!" Xu Feng rebuked coldly. He pointed at a black cloud rapidly descending toward the ground and shouted: "Look! That’s not a cloud, it looks like a garment."

"It's the black hooded robe—it's the Witch!" the Professor screamed. "Quick! Back into the base, don't let her shroud you!"

"Wait!" Knowing there was danger, Xu Feng stepped outside the stone door and commanded loudly: "Special forces, Aeolus Squad, come out immediately! Raise your guns!"

Nearly thirty people followed his command, crowding at the entrance, their muzzles all aimed at the descending robe.

"Fire!"

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Pulse rifles, shock guns, sniper rifles... they used them all. But the bullets hitting the air were like crashing into thick glue; they quickly slowed down and fell. Only the blue electronic beams from the pulse rifles successfully pierced through the air wall, but they only burnt a small hole in the black shroud without setting it on fire.

"Damn it, it’s the Witch’s trick. Fighting her head-on will cost many lives." The Professor’s voice was trembling.

"Xu Feng, come back!" Dante shouted.

"Retreat!" Following Xu Feng’s order, the crowd immediately fell back to clear a path for him, and he dove back through the door.

Rumble!

As Xu Feng hit the ground, the black robe—two or three times larger than the training ground—slammed into the earth like a ten-thousand-ton weight. The shattered rocks and dust it kicked up sprayed rapidly toward the crowd.

Fortunately, the stone door was slammed shut by the people just in time.
